Its called camel's Night Out..... I think.

EJ's songs are all unique,he is extremely creative and inventive and as for his runs, he plays his own style of licks that you only hear from him and is his signature sound which is why you hear him play them a lot.

I forgot the name of the song right after the bass solo...but...damn he was reaching down deep! I firmly believe Eric was able to channel Jimi in that one. He may sound a little "out" sometimes...but that is the sound of a master pushing the limits! Hendrix sounds very sloppy to me a lot of the time...GOOSEBUMPS!
dropclutch1
this guy can play his theatrics may be a little careless but I don't think he's a shfinktor phalantrapor
joeyb817
I think alot of his songs sound the same. Also his right arm jesters and strutting are a little gayish .If you check out his crossroads set that strut is silly. He does do some great runs ..but they sound the same .
kerbob
its a fuzz pedal...its supposed to be muddy i think
Luckie7falcon77
what effect did he used?
danzefirelli
LMAO! pure gurning drummer. I love EJ's playing style its really loose and melodic
alanhutchinson
Well, either that, or he bent down to adjust one of his pedals to improve the tone. On that note, I think this is the first time I heard Eric play with that tone. It's a bit off, and a little muddy.
theshyguitarist
He didn't drop his pick. He was adjusting his effects. He does it a few other times.
dunedain2558
LMAO!!!
jimi5333
I'm surprised none of you noticed that Eric dropped his pick at 4:33 and had to bend down to get it. ; )
rolz420
damn, those chords are hard to play...

(Amazing video)

boy the older Eric gets the more he looks like Ellen Degeneres..just an observation

EJ's fuzz face is actually the Silicon transistors. He doesn't use germanium. As far as I remember, the Echoplex only goes into his Twins. He uses a Memory Man for the extra delay on his Marshall. Lately he's been using the fuzz more than his Tube Driver. He uses a chorus on his clean tone sometimes, and he's incorporated a compressor. He used a Tube Screamer before the Tube Driver to get his violin sound. HarmonyCentral did an interview with him, he discusses his guitars, signatures, and rig.
denn0099
Does he have his Marshalls on this outing? Sounds really muddy like he is driving his boost/OD through those twins. Sounds like shit.

You mean over 30 years ago.

Try the Freekish Blues Coily Fuzz.... Does the Red Fuzz thing in a whole new spin...with all the vintage vibe.. just bought one....

He also runs his pedals into an echoplex, which also adds some tube tone to the mix, and also has his Strat wired with the tone knob controlling the bridge pickup, which allows him to roll off the tone to make it less twangy and darker sounding. Finally, you need EJ's hands to get the rest of his tone, 'cause that's the part that makes the biggest difference!
